Unhappy Bahamian Neon

hey guys, been here before about my neon but no its getting irritating. whiles driving the car would just shut off but everything electrical still works, sometimes i'm able to shift it to neutral and it would start right back up but most of the times i would have to pull on the side for about 30 minutes before it would start back up. enigine cranks and rolls over but never starts, i've checked the fuel rail when this happens and fuel is pumping so i ruled out fuel as an issue but when i checked the coil pack i'm not getting any fire. resources here on the island in terms off the neon are limited and the dealer here cost an arm and a leg. the codes that i'm getting from the key dance are: 1684,0743,0320,0302,0304,0551,1391,0508. anyone knows whats going on?

PCM or loose connection. You usually don't get all of those codes at once.

Just real quickly, I see battery disconnected, misfire on cylinders 2 and 4 and power steering pressure sensor circuit range/performance.

You can go to somewhere like obd-codes.com and find them in their list, and it'll tell you what the code means and common causes.

the p0320 and the p1391 need to be addressed
methinks you got a bad cam/crank sensor or bad wiring to them

okay hemi, gonna try replace the cam sensor and will check the wiring first light but do you think thats also the rason it just shuts off whiles i'm driving?
Darth, the power steering resivoir has a pin hole in it and is leaking so i'm assuming thats the issue there ordered a new one on ebay, but what do you think is causing the misfire on cylinders 1 and 2? also don't know whats going on with the battery code cause i haven't disconnected it but my check engine light is now off for some reason.

A bad cam sensor can cause shut-off and misfire.

first things first:

make sure the battery connections are clean and tight.
check for good connection at the PDC from battery

#2 and #4 fire together given the appropriate signal from cam sensor.
seeing as u have a cam sensor code I would assume that the missfires are related to that.

the power steering code disregard at the moment as it will not cause the engine to miss or stall.

If when it shuts off you are still able to crank then I dont see the battery being disconnected (sounds like just your ignition is loosing juice)
perhaps when the cam sensor warms it fails(then when you wait 30 mins the sensor cools enough to operate properly again).

as for checking the wires to cam sensor without a scan tool you will only be able to check for reference voltage and ground. if you had a scantool you could view operation of the cam sensor while running. It may be worth the couple of dollars to have someone with a scanner to just hook it up and view data for you.
but then again if the shop isnt getting the repair they may be reluctant to give you the info.

okay guys took the car to the dealer today to get it checked and apparently the guy that deals with dodge is on vacation, a whole company and only one guy deals with dodge. I asked about the cost of the cam sensor and figured i would just replace it one time but that ran into $300 uninstalled. hitting ebay to see about getting one. did check the wires and it is plugged in correctly without any breaks (thought i'd get lucky).
