No, it's a different engine. Also, side exit isn't any worse than any other exhaust set-up, as long as it isn't too big; same rule applies to any exhaust set-up on any car.

I just heard that from my new team tos iowa president seeing he has one on his srt4 neon he told me he has heard that side exits are not as good on non turboed cars as they are on turboed cars. Your better off to get a ebay intake they are pretty nice and just as good as the name brands but for a decent price.

If he has documented proof, I'll believe it. Since I am 99.9% sure that kind of information will not be able to be provided, it's wrong.

Why exactly does he believe they are not good on non-turbo cars?

He just heard it from some srt guys I dont believe it seeing I have had a srt stock on my sxt and now a srt borla and they both sound pretty nice with a glasspack and the glasspack helps with the back pressure. I think the pt cruiser 2.4 I looked at when I got the acr has a side exit also so might see if that will fit on my sxt. Might even try using the leather custom red and black seats it came with in my sxt also .

It has nothing to do with back pressure or lack of, either. It's just an exit position. If the exhaust system is built correctly up to the point of exit, it doesn't matter if the exhaust exits out the side in front of the rear tire, out the side behind the rear tire, out the back or if it dumps under the car.
