Yeah a glasspack will help it not sound so ricey as you call it . I had a r/t exhaust on my sxt and sounded pretty deep not ricey at all but I love huge mufflers so I love ricey sounds.

Most people switch to the R/T exhaust because it "sounds good." Not too sure what you can do to make it deeper simply by adding on to it. A glasspack doesn't deepen anything really; it quiets an exhaust more than anything.

Any idea if I take my stock exhaust off and put a glasspack in the middle or the car, and a straight pipe going over the axle and out a cutout in the back?

R/t exhaust at least the 03-05s are deep enough without adding a glasspack and just like darth said a glasspack quiets the exhaust down so it would not make maybe your exhaust so ricey sounding you can get on and try it out they arent much at all. You can find a cherry bomb for like 35 to 40bucks.

Deep or high-pitched/tone (the "rice" sound I guess some would call it) is not the same as loud or quiet. A glasspack quiets the exhaust; it won't change the pitch/tone.

Would a full axle back exhaust from magnaflow and a k&n CAI would let it breath better?

-We used to use them all of the time along with Thrush glass packs when I was still in school. But they we used on RoadRunners, Camaros, Monte Carlos, etc.. of the early/mid '70s. It was all V8 power for us, so I guess I can't tell you for sure how it would sound on a Neon. But I for one can't stand the "ricer" sound either!
