Is it true that u have to change your cat-converter for maintanance after a certain amount of miles on your car?

I had to replace mine at 141K miles (2000 Dodge Highline). I told them the exhaust manifold was cracked. They said it was the catalytic converter that needed to be replaced instead. Turns out we were both right. Wooo what a difference after it was all done! :-)

Just let go of the ole' girl too-171K..need $2300 worth of repairs to keep going. :-(
