ok. Well guys ive joined this forum because im stumped. Im working on my girls 2000 dodge neon. Originally working on it because the car has a vibration while turning left and while accelerating. the vibration builds with acceleration but doesnt change when the tranny shift (automatic), sounds like grinding that get faster and faster as you drive. looked at the rack and pinion and saw it was leaking so i changed it, no success, changed top and bottom passenger mounts, still nothing. Vibration mainly coming from the left side. changed hub and bearing and theres still vibration. also as i go faster and go to turn left it grinds more loudly and its kinda more difficult to turn, but not when sitting in place...
I've done alot of work on this car, water pump, head gasket, new cam, timing belt, rack n pinion, driver hub and bearing, and still cant get this car optimal... please help..

We can't ever be 100% positive by diagnosing a more complex problem using words over the internet. However, some signs of a bad CV joint are: strange noises, abnormal resistance or vibrations in the steering wheel while turning, noises while accelerating/decelerating...
Are either of the CV joint boots torn anywhere? You still need to do any diagnosing you can on your end too.

agreed about the CV. i had mine take a dump on me when i was going down the highway @ 75mph.. not fun. the car shook really bad when turning to that side as well as going straight. did you hear any clicking when you turned before the vibrations started? spray some liquid wrench in the CV boot and drive it and see if it makes a difference.
