2000 Dodge Neon Clutch Problem
2000 Dodge Neon / 2.0L 16 Valve / 5 Speed Manual / 130K Miles
Code: P0833 Clutch Released Switch Circuit
Hi everyone. New here and I will appreciate any help that can be given.
About 3 Months/1,000 Miles ago I had the master cylinder, slave cylinder, and clutch replaced in this Neon. About a month after that the check engine light came on with the P0833 Code. I hadn't noticed any mechanical problems with the clutch at that point so I decided not to do anything yet. (Yeah, I know probably not the best idea...) Well, about three days ago I started noticing a clicking noise when my clutch was being depressed; once about halfway down and again when fully depressed. Now today it is hard to shift into first and when shifting into reverse it grinds terribly.
Could this be attributed to the Clutch Switch? And if not does anyone know what it may be?
I am really hoping that it is not the clutch itself since I have only gotten 1,000 miles out of it.
Again, any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
