I guess you have not looked at srts lately they are abused not like regular neons . I was talkin about a turbo out of a srt not the engine itsself. There are alot of none abused srts around to buy but not really in junk yards or donor srts.

 

How do you know just by looking at them? You can't, and don't. According to what you seem to think abuse is, my Mustang should be a "crap" car that no one would want to touch. I've had oil analysis tests done on the engine, and it has the same average wear as all other tested 4.6L engines even though I drive the heck out of it. It's all about choosing proper fluids and proper maintenance intervals depending on the use. I'd think it's safe to say police cars are "abused," yet, they are properly maintained and even after 200,000 miles of almost non-stop service, the engines that are tested show the same average wear.

If you have a turbo rebuilt, properly (which means serviceable parts are replaced), it is good as new; except you probably paid 1/3 to 1/2 of the price of a "new" one.

 

Oh you can tell if its abused just buy looking at the engine . You can tell a good from a bad mainly looking at srt4s in junk yards and you can drive a srt4 to see if its been abused if your lookin into buying one. Husband and I have looked last weekend and over the yrs at junk yards. I had an awesome donor acr should of kept that one the turbo was awesome shape. Thats just it most srt4s are owned by kids and they dont maintain like older adults do.

 

You are assuming again. I don't think most anyone knows how old I actually am, but I would be one of those "kids" by how you make it sound. If an engine is dirty-looking, you are going to say it's been abused? My grandmother lives on a dirt road. Her engine is filthy; there's just no way around it. Are you telling me that she has abused her engine because she lives off of a dirt road, but drives it very conservatively and has me change the oil every 5,000 miles?

As for all of these SRT and ACR donor cars you've "had," I really don't believe it because no picture has ever been posted and parts that are a direct swap (coilovers most recently IIRC) magically "don't fit." You've been in the process of putting a turbo on your car for YEARS know, but never seem to get farther than saying you bought another SRT or ACR donor car and then for no apparent reason, had to get rid of it.

 

Im a girl and change my mine too much and what an attitude you have darth I loved the old mod he was actually civil to everyone . I miss dt. Anyways you can tell if you ever have looked at a bad srt engine just ask anyone on other forums about bad srt engines they are so noted for being bad. Im not talkin dirty Im talkin worse than being dirty everything blown for burning up the engine. Everything shot to crap. On the coilovers I really cant lower my car now due to her being low already I have been told by my new show team. I could careless what you think about anything I have ever said. I actually sold those bcs to a srt4 guy and they found out they did fit just dont want a drop than. Im lookin to bag my sxt so I can have her at normal height and at shows drop her.

 

What was "uncivil" about what I said? I stated the truth as I know it. Just because you don't like me calling you out on the rather large amount of bogus stuff you post doesn't make what I say uncivil.

A BLOWN engine, which you NEVER said, is different than an engine that has seen the redline (though, that is "abuse" to you).

 

No you misunderstand everytime with me . A blown engine is an abused engine to me or not maintained. You did not call me out just becasue I dont like posting pics at least on certain forums doesnt make things untrue. I pick and choose where I post pics and this forum the less the better.
