No reverse

No reverse
I have a 2001 neon, reverse has been out for about 7 months now. It will not shift back at all, any ideas?

check the linkages, often the ends get worn right out that they wont move the levers enough.

Soo I am a girl,lol I know to do this you pull out the middle console right? And does it just pop out?

i was thinking more the ends on top of the transmission. Leave the console for now and look under the hood
