Hey guys, I just joined the dodgeforum, my parents have a 03 (2nd gen) neon and the tranny went out, of course. Is the 03 tranny the only one that will fit or will other years fit? thanks

 

I'd stick with 2002. It is a different transmission than '00-'01 and '03-'05 models. The '03-'05 may work as they are also electronic transmissions, but they are differently internally in one aspect: the number of clutch plates IIRC.

 

Correction it is an 03 neon Im sorry and it is an auto

 

'03-'05 are all the same then. Makes it easier!

Yeah, I hate these autos. When mine goes, the car will become a manual most likely, depending on funds at the time.

 

you should check out my post in 1st gen neon about 99 dohc issues, maybe you have some suggestions?
