P0456 small evap leak, check all the evap hose's if they are good, then replace the NVLD pump. P563
Symptom:
P0563-CHARGING SYSTEM VOLTAGE TOO HIGH
When Monitored and Set Condition:
P0563-CHARGING SYSTEM VOLTAGE TOO HIGH
When Monitored: With the engine running for more than 30 seconds.
Set Condition: When battery voltage is greater than 1 volt over target voltage for more
than 5 seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
GENERATOR FIELD
GENERATOR FIELD DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
TARGET VOLTAGE DIFFERS FROM BATTERY VOLTAGE
INTERMITTENT CONDITION
GENERATOR FIELD DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
GENERATOR FIELD
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE
TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 Note: Battery must be fully charged.
Note: Generator Belt tension and condition must be checked before continuing.
Turn the ignition on.
With DRBIIIt, actuate the Generator Field Driver.
With a 12-volt test light connected to ground, backprobe the Generator Field Driver
circuit in the back of Generator Field harness connector.
Does the test light illuminate brightly and flash?
All
Yes ! Go To 2
No ! Go To 5
2 With DRBIIIt, stop all actuation.
Turn the ignition on.
With DRBIIIt, read the Target Charging voltage.
Is the Target Charging voltage above 13 volts?

P0456 is commonly caused by the large hose on the carbon canister forming cracks. Cold wrap tape or silicone can cure the problem.

Usually a sound system would cause a low voltage condition, not an overcharge. Sounds like something is possibly going on with the alternator.

Is the battery temperature sensor hooked up to the battery mat, and the wires are good?
