Default 01 dodge neon AT Trans problem

I have an 01 dodge neon... I replaced the tranny fluid and filter. (used type 4 fluid) Car drove like a dream for 2 weeks after that. I took the car on a trip to So. Cal and had no problems till I made a stop - got back in the car, put it in drive and it felt like it didn't want to move, I gave the car some gas and it shifted into gear and we were on our way! I stopped to check the fluid level and it was good... I am not getting any trouble codes... Am thinking shift solenoid but I'm not sure. Any help on this problem would be helpful.

Thank you... To be honest this web site is a little tricky to figure out. Would be nice is it said "ASK A QUESTION"

Since you are not getting any codes (using a code reader I hope), it may just be one of the "glitches" with these transmissions. For some odd reason after a fluid and filter change (seems to be only changing the original), the car will hesitate at random times and take a second to engage the gears. Mine does it and there have been many others asking about this.

Don't know what the fix is, if there is one. I've changed my fluid and filter a couple of times since I bought the car, and it still does it. I don't think it's that big of a deal though; mine usually only needs a few seconds at most to engage the gear when it does it.
