Default Noise coming from front suspension!!?

Ok so my 2002 dodge neon makes a small like popping or springy sound whenever turning the steering wheel to the right (like backing up or something), it doesnt do it all the time but most of the time, and I also noticed now when I just put it in reverse it makes the same pop noise but just once instead of popopop when yu turn the wheel. The noise isnt that loud, if you didnt know anything you would probably just think it was rocks under the tire. Could anybody tell me what this is? I wanna get it fixed ASAP! but dont wanna have to pay for a mechanic to just give me a diagnostic. THANK YOU !!

-If it's doing this as you're driving, then it sounds like the CV joint is starting to go out. If it does this while sitting still, probably a bad control arm or sway bar bushing. At least to me, this is what it sounds like....

A CV joint could be the culprit, or it could be a ball joint. The ball joint can be checked though before replacement.
