So, Saturday we went to Jiffy Lube to have the oil changed. They also added something for the engine. Well Monday the oil light started to come on. Tuesday it kept coming on whenever I was stopped at a light...which has happened before but went away. Now the light kept coming on and the car completely shut down and won't start now... what is going on??? Do I need to sue Jiffy Lube???

 

Wow.. way to jump to conclusions and have litigation as your first course of action.

No... you should not sue JL yet. You need to figure out what happened, and if they are at fault, pursue a possible solution avoiding costly litigation.

1. Check your oil level in your car to ensure its correct
2. Pull your receipt and see what additive you authorized to be added to your vehicle. Do a search online for it.
3. Pull your maintenance records and ensure you haven't missed anything.
4. Check for Trouble codes using an ODBII scanner, or the key trick to get them from your odometer.
