My daughter was in an accident in her 2003 dodge neon. After the accident the officer told her to shut the car off. The car was towed and now it will not start. I've heard of newer vehicles having a shut off switch and I've been told that only Ford has this feature. Is there any one out here that KNOWS if this car has one and if so where it may be found, so I can reset it and get the car back on the road.
Welcome Aboard livin4wife! Stay tuned - a Technician (or member) will jump in shortly to provide a possible solution. In the meantime, don't forget to browse Sub-Forums: Neon for stuff related to your ride.
The Neon does not have that system AFAIK. In the Ford's, the inertia switch as it's called will automatically shut the fuel pump(s) off in an accident; it doesn't wait for you to turn your car off. Does the car still turn over?
