Default SRT-4 Suspension for 2nd Gen

Will SRT-4 struts and springs fit on a 2000 Neon?

I plan on getting the full bushing kit on Modern Performance along with struts and springs...but, I'm college student on a limited budget...

Looking to sell struts and springs? PM me!

Thanks!

Hard to find these used as most srt-4 owners have no need to swap out struts or springs since it's already tuned well.

If you want as close to a factory srt-4 ride your choice is simple, Eibach springs and tokico struts.....

If you want to do it on a semi budget....use same springs ( IIRC $190 for all 4 ) But go with KYB struts which will run you about 200 less than tokico..

I found an entire set New in box on craigslist for $75.

I'd never buy used struts personally, and the spring set is cheap enough new not to want to buy used.

The SRTs only sit ~0.5" (or was it an inch?) lower than the SE/SXT Neons. You'll go lower than an SRT with most any aftermarket springs.

Think it's an inch but they also sit on 17"s factory, also I think the drop in rear was more than front as they lacked the 4x4 stance the SE/SXt neons had.

Surprisingly, even with that 4x4 stance, the front of my car still manages to bottom out in places around town That's part of the reason I'm a bit apprehensive about lowering my car. My friend still has his stock SRT springs I think. I might just use those do to the low amount of drop they give.

I'm surprised you bottom out, I live in providence R.I. and i think they have like a patent on potholes becasue no one does potholes better than my state/town.

I've watched navigators come down my street at like 40mph, meet pothole 20 ft from my house and drop the entire drivers side of there suspension in 2 secs flat, flat tire busted up fender wheel laying sideways, balljoint snapped and even with those kind of conditions/potholes I have yet to bottom my front end out.

I think if going eibach the kit i've been reccomended was the sportline not the proline ( which is more agressive of a drop ) and not as close to factory ride.

It's not potholes...it's living in the mountains. Lots of ups and downs and uneven surfaces.
