Default Sporadic limp mode

2005 Dodge Neon SE

Has anyone ever have the transmission go into limp mode, but only in the mornings? The rest of the day it drives fine and the CE light goes away.

I have read about this a lot. I think its something to do with the fluid level and the fluid itself. I am no expert and am having big problems with my neon.

What's the code in the morning? Sounds something like moisture is getting into an electrical connection, and then drying out as it warms up?

The code is just a simple P700 flashed on the dashboard until I go and have someone test it with a real tester, like at AutoZone. But the CE light will had gone away by then.

And yes, I have been checking the fluid levels. They seem okay.

Unfortunately, it's just too hard to say for sure without a code, especially when it is intermittent.

Also, those Autozone code readers are often pretty vague, at best. I got a code reading from them once that said "3-4 shift error" (and my Neon doesn't even have a 4th gear), so I started imagining all sorts of problems. Took it to a friend who has a Snap-on reader, and it was much more specific, telling me that it was a "voltage error" at the TCC solenoid. Turned out that the solenoid had gone bad (broken wire in the coil), spent a couple of hours replacing it and it's been perfect ever since.

Other than the P700, I got two more codes

P0715
Input Speed Sensor
"ECM has detected that the ISS has changed suddenly. Possible causes: Open or short circuit condition. Poor electrical connection. Faulty ISS"

P0841
Low/Reverse pressure switch rationality fault
"The TCM has detected a pressure switch open or closed at the incorrect time. Possibe cause: Open or Short Circuit condition. Poor electrical connection. Faulty transmission solenoid/pressure switch assembly. Faulty ECM/TCM"

Plus my oil light flashes on everyonce in awhile. My fluid level is good with a fresh oil change. I think it means my oil pump is out

...or a bad oil pressure sensor.
