Default back up and defroster problem

Ok so I put a new bumper on my car. And the next thing I know I'm told my back up lights don't work and my rear defrost don't work either. Any ideas how to fix this would be greatly appreciated

I don't think the two are related. But for the lights make sure you did not pinch a wire and check the fuses.

Fuse 7 is for the A/C heater blower motor. Not related to the reverse lights or rear defroster in any way AFAIK.

so i checked the fuses and I found out that the back up fuse in the side fuse panel keeps blowing as soon as I put the car in to reverse. whats messed up is it also makes my rear defroster not work as well. so im stumped on it.

Have you checked the neutral safety switch wiring for a ground out/short?

I replaced the switch cause I thought it went bad and the trans filter needed changed anyways. But I will check the wires when I get a chance to.
