hi im new here but i have a 2000 chrysler neon and am looking to bump up the power to around 350-400hp

im just wondering what my best options are. whether to transplant a srt-4 engine or build up the 2.0 16v


the car is a neon le 2.0l 16v sohc

 

Thats alot of power you are asking for...To get to 300hp + u'd better get a srt-4 motor with a stage 3 turbo. I dont really know if you build up your stock enigne to those specs..it would take alot of money and customizations. You may also consider getting a pt cruiser engine. Good look my friend

 

You can build either a srt-4 or a 2.0L, either way its gonna be a lot of work. It is very possible to pull that kind of power out of either motor, but expect to spend around $10,000 or more.

 

Thanks guys i think ill stick with the 2.0l cause i allready have the engine now i just have to figue out how to build it up.
