I was going to say; since you have an 02' the easiest thing to do is get a reprogrammed PCM from Howell but, for 02' they only have it for the manual. I wonder why that is.

 

You should just get the R/T model as it rev limits at like 7200 and it dosen't have govoner. I have hit speeds over 125mph. However, just because the speedometer goes to 120 on your car dosen't mean that the car goes that fast.

 

in my 03 auto my neon wouldn't go over 105 unless i was going downhill. it pissed me off. it should of been able to do more.

 

You can either put a switch in or cut the spedo wire to the PCM. However if you do cut it, your spedo will not work. If you switch it it won't work when you flip the switch, but it will give you an unlimited top speed. The same applies for the rev limiter. Now this will affest your performance is I do not recomend it for the rev limiter, but the speed limiter is free game.

 

The car with an auto will easily go past 103. As for the car having an unlimited top speed. I think Csper means unlimited until the gearts run out and you really hit the rev limit, not the rev limiter but the rev limit.

 

Yeah, lol, by unlimited I meant that there will be no govener or speed cut out. I doubt that you will hit the rev limiter either, the motor in its stock form does not have enough power to hit the rev limiter in final gear.

 

Alright I'm new to this site and I own a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT (AUTOMATIC) which I bought on July 27th, 2005 and I have zero mods done to it however as for this posting I can get approximently 115 on the freeways, I will have some specs about my car some time soon just not there yet!

 

I have had my 01 R/T to 121 mph on the highway. Does anybody know how fast an R/T can go completly topped out?

 

You should be able to hit 125mph on a straight in stock form.

 

Is it me or is it between the speeds from 100 to 110 it takes forever. I have a cold air intake and the second I hit about 100-102 my car goes silent. I can barely hear my intake, my exhaust, and my engine. I find it wierd that the car still goes to 118. That was my top speed also in my 04 Dodge Neon (Automatic)[:@]
