Brakes question

Default Brakes question

Lately everytime I first leave to go somewhere, my back breaks squeak really loudly. But after I drive for like 10 min. it doesnt squeak when I apply the breaks.. any suggestions?

Pull the drums and spray the brakes down with brake clean. Lightly sand the pads and Drums. Reinstall drums with same hole on same stud and should quiet up.

noise will come back after cleaning brakes. i hate to say it but this is normal. it is due to light duty brakes being used. the only way to completely get rid of this noise is to convert to rear disc.

Well I heard the new bendix platinum shoes do real well on one of these forums but yup a lot of neons have noisy rears.
