Default HID Headlilght Conversion Kits

I am looking into buying on of these kits and was wondering if any of you guys have installed them and if so whats a good name brand that i could trust if i decide to go this route?

Are they worth it?

Would i need a new Alternator to keep up with the new lights?

You don't need to get a new alternator. Check out Kensun HID kits on Amazon.com. My b/f's running 2 sets of 6000k, headlights and foglights, on his 4runner for over 2 yrs. and zero problems. Kensun has great customer service, price, and 2 yr warranty on HIDs. I will be ordering a set sometime next month for my 00 Neon.

If the vehicle has foglights and you want a set for them too, then yes. Two sets are needed. I've been reading up on www.ddmtuning.com and has great positive reviews. I'm actually thinking of changing my mind and getting them. They have a better price and has a lifetime warranty. I read a feedback that a person has had them for 6 yrs. without any problems.

Have you had any problems with your HIDs? I have seen a lot of reviews from eBay saying that the kits were not good that they flicker and then die out in a few months.

To do this properly without pissing off other drivers from the horrible glare and possibly getting yourself a nice fix-it ticket or citation, yes, IMO. Halogen housings are for halogen bulbs.

I don't buy projector. I just adjust the lights lower so they won't shine out of control.
