Hey everyone,

I have my stereo in my trunk and I can`t get it open. I can`t use the safety release because I can`t reach it. My brother in law took out my lock last year and took out a broken key it work great, but now it won`t work at all. I need to get my stereo out. Can anyone help. Please.

 

When I locked my keys in the trunk, I used one of those claw tools you can get at parts stores to reach the safety release.

button in the glove box not work either? seems like if the lock is seized the saftey latch won't work.

 

When mine failed, I just lowered the seat backs and crawled thru and pulled the release. I weigh 212lbs, and fit thru. If that doesn't work, squeeze i n there with a flashlight, and a screwdriver, and pop the lock out from the inside. all that holds it in is a C-clip, then you can use the screwdriver to operate the lock.
