I have an 04 Neon with the 2.0 motor , the problem im having is when i go to accelerate it starts to do this studder real bad like its hit n the rev limiter but it doesnt rev up that high . it does it in park and neutral . . i did shut it off and started it back up and it ran fine for about 20 mins , then started again . .

 

does anybody know what might this problem be ?

 

First things first. You need to give it more than 20 minutes generally for a response to your question. No one is getting paid to sit here and stare at the forums waiting for a question to pop up that they can answer.

Now onto your problem. When was the last time the plugs and wires were changed?

 

um not sure when or if at all they have been changed , ive only had the car about a year now .

 

Likely the problem then. Pull the plugs. They should look like this, the tip being the most important part:


If they are quite dirty and the tip is rounded, it's overdue for a plug and wire change.
