Hello,
I have a 2000 Dodge Neon that wont shift into 3rd gear after the first five miles. please tell me its not haunted (lol). Tranny fluid and filter were changed and it did not help the problem. Any ideas anyone????

 

Chances are your car is in limp mode. You may have a bigger problem then fluid, get it diagnosed by a professional.

 

I would swing through a nationwide auto parts store like Advance Auto, AutoZone, ect.. that will read codes for free.
Worth a shot to see if they can capture a code for free so you at least have some minimal info to go on. Most dealers and tranny shops will charge you to pull codes.
