Default Help Please, At A Total Loss...

So my 04 will idle for 40 mins but then dies and I have to completely charge the bat over night. Its like as soon as it gets up to op temp it shuts down and will not start until bat is completely charged. All and any help even if you think I've already tried just please anything. Like I said I'm at a total loss.

If you had access to a voltmeter I would measure the voltage across the battery with the car running. Anything less that around 13-14V would indicate a charging problem..

Actually, it would be 9.6V. Batteries normally operate ~12V.

Charging systems run about 13.8 to 14.2 volts under normal conditions. At rest (engine off), the charge should be at or slightly above 12 volts.

Any reading of 9.6 Volts indicates a bad connection, defective alternator, or dying battery. Any reading under 11.5 volts is a sign of trouble unless the vehicle has not been run for a while.

9.6 is a minimum rule of thumb for starting voltage... at rest your battery should be around 12.45-13v.

A 100% fully charged, non-charging state would be 12.4V. When the engine is running, it should be in the 13-14V range.
