A/C Question
don't give up yet, try swapping out one of the relays in the fuse box with a smililar one that works. do you use a test light to check for continuity on the wire's from the compressor, with the a/c fan on inside the car?
I tested the a/c wire in the connector for the control switch. It isn't getting power. I read my wiring diagram from my haynes manual that power goes to the low pressure, then the high pressure, and THEN the control switch.
has the front end been wrecked before if you know of? Down by the computer left front driver side behind the bumper I can't remember or not if one of the power wires comes from that harness but you might take a look for damage to the wiring, wish you lived close by we'd have it done last weekend
Well, no. But I did find out that I need a new condenser. The compressor still doesn't click in even with the new high and low pressure switches are installed. I found out that even after jumping the compressor, I don't have cold air unless the radiator fan is engaged. I'm going to take it to a specialist sometime to get it completely fixed.
Thus far, I've replaced the high pressure line, compressor, high and low pressure cycling switch, and in-dash control switch. I don't have a freon leak anywhere, so it's not any of that. I've definitely got it nailed down to an electrical problem.
