Default 6 Disc CD Changer error.

I just bought a 2004 dodge neon sxt and i have an issue.

When i try to put a cd in the 6 disc changer, it pulls it in, then out, then in, then out, then in, then out, then in, then out for the last time and the radio says "Error".

All the radio parts are original.

Whats going on?

Well unfortunately there aren't too many variables to something like this. It either works or it doesn't..

Get yourself a nice aftermarket stereo with a USB hookup and an Ipod, you'll never listen to another CD.

I have an almost similar problem. I got a previously owned 2006 Durango and all 6 CDs are in already and working. One fine day I got the message CD Error. I can't play any CD (MP3) can't eject the CDs nothing. Radio plays find.

Anyone has any ideas? If not then how can I remove the CD changer to try and get out the CDs.

I know that feeling of road trip without tunes .... I drove from Kansas to Boston and part of the trip was through PA ... CD player wasn't working. I didn't have tunes for quite some time during that trip .... Let's just say HELL !!!!!!
