Default 01 model sat in grannys garage 5 years

Recently stumbled upon an 01 model with 37k on the odo, elder-lady had a stroke prior to this and her neon was parked in her garage. Now she's going to an old folks home and selling the car for 1k. Her son parked the car for her and had the gas burned out to the point it wound't start and thats how they left it. 0 leaks on the garage floor I'm sure the tires have flat spots too.

Most importantly....
I'm wondering if the fuel filter need to be replaced, fuel line opened up at the fuel rail so that 1/2 gallon or so of fresh fuel w/seafoam can be purged thru before starting the car up. I'm sure some old fuel will still be in there if not gummed/evaporated down, is this a wise idea? Or am I leaving something out?

an oil change & trany oil once I get the old fuel out if any.

The fuel filter is integral to the fuel pump. I would be half tempted to put some gas in and see what happens. The only thing I would honestly be concerned about is if the tank is empty that nothing rusted in the fuel system.

I've never had a fuel issue so I don't know which part of the fuel system would have internal metal lines that would rust, can you tell me which location/ones?

Far as I know they were all rubber & plastic except for the fuel rail... Car was parked in a garage too so there not any extreme fluc. in temps...

I just crawled under my car, didn't get the best look but it looks like the fuel lines are stainless steel, with the exception of the vapor lines. Typically the sending unit is going to be stainless as well, but that was a quick look at my car.
