Going on a long trip
I'm going from Sedalia, MO, to Paola, KS. Roughly 3 hours drive, so it's not THAT long, but it would be the longest trip I've taken in my Neon.
Betty has a manual transmission, cold air intake, and a knock.
I've kept pretty good maintenance on her. The lower radiator hose just went out and has been replaced, but when it went I took her as far as she would go, and the temperature gauge went as high as it could go. There aren't any signs of a bad head gasket (at least yet), and since fixing it, I haven't noticed any heating problems.
Is there any preventative things I should do before making the trip? Should I bring assorted fluids with me just in case?
Note, I just recently changed the oil. Like so recent the oil is still clearish.

All IMO:
If you maintain your car, there's nothing that really needs to be checked. I never check anything before a longer drive because I know where everything's at (fluid, brake pad levels, tire pressure and so on). Those special pre-trip checks are for people who don't actually regularly check everything and actually have an excuse now to do so.
