So after overhauling my first transmission (that operated fine, but leaked like crazy), I get everything setup and it will only work in reverse and 1st gear. 2nd and Drive act as if it's in neutral.

does this sound indicative of anything in particular for you transmission experts out there??

***i currently do NOT have my VSS plugged in because that sensor has evidently failed, previously keeping my engine from starting. dont know if this factors into the transmissions governor function or not, but putting it out there. otherwise, engine now runs and performs great***

 

ok, im thinking my front band is the culprit. i pulled the transmission back out to get a full rebuild kit (i knew i shouldve ordered that instead of the simple overhaul kit...*sigh*...hindsight..).

hopefully this post will be here to at least serve others should they encounter a similar problem.
