dodge neon 2.0 engine

replaced serpentine belt, serpentine belt pulley, motor mount and tensioner pulley. after i put all the parts on my car, the engine has started to rev louder when i press the gas to accelerate. i need help ASAP!!! its my only transportation. please and thanks to everyone

 

if those are the only parts you replaced, you may check the exhaust manifold and cat and see if there are any leaks that may have developed since putting those things on. otherwise, i dont see how it could possibly have changed your engine, or allow an opportunity for damage to occur.

 

Perhaps it's now producing more power since the belt was replaced? Perhaps when you replaced the motor mount(s?), it moved the block in such a way that the exhaust was affected? A video of what it sounds like would be helpful.

Does it sound louder from the exhaust or intake manifold side?

It's hard to tell with just words :-/
