Have 2004 Neon SE, with the 2.0 SOHC, and after changing the Camshaft position sensor, it revs high in Park and Neutral, plus it seems to "jump" to second gear without putting my foot down on the throttle. Ive looked and saw that it may be a vacuum leak, however, am checking and cant seem to find anything lose or out of place. Any suggestions? I dont have any codes popping up and the check engine light isnt on.

 

How many miles have you driven since reconnecting the battery? Sometimes it'll take a while for codes to pop up after it's been disconnected.

 

Inspect anything you may have gotten close to or taken off during the replacement.
