thought I'd seen it all with this neon, haulin *** to werk and bam the gas pedal assembly detaches from the firewall @ the most busiest intersection in Dallas @ 9am lol


looks like it pulled the bolts thru the firewall O.o guess we will see the real deal hear on lunch break when it hits 104 outside =)

 

well the fix wasnt too bad, got home at lunch, pulled the carpet back, unbolted the pedal assembly, tack welded it back to the uni-body. Very poor craftsmanship from Dodge, it's just stamped into the floor with 2 small nubs...

if you can't weld just use to small, stainless steel bolts w/lock washers. Jack it up, drill thru the floor with the nut on the fire wall side and wala. Nothing gets in the way on the firewall thankfully

guess all the days of floorin it finally had all it could take lol
