Default Filter question

Would it be possible to make your own filter "wrap?"
Someone told me I could try a stocking....

you could try it. i couldnt see it robbing HP (assuming you try nylon, or whatever material it is, stocking), so worse case scenario is...it helps extend the life of your filter, or it just makes your filter look ridiculous on top of being dirty. i wouldn't bother unless you live in a particularly dusty area though.

We havnt got much rain all year it pours here and there and dries up.
A lot of dust depending on where I go.

I guess I'll try without any thing unless someone provides good reason to put one on.

Outerwears is about the best you can get, easier to just get a washable unit and pass on the sock

But you can't buy a new engine if moisture gets in.

Well technically you CAN buy a new engine, but it probably won't be 22 dollars .
