Weird Issue
Hey Guys,
I have a 2005 Dodge Neon and my timing belt broke and destroyed the head. The mechanic (who is a friend) had to put a different head on it (it was resurfaced before it went on).
Now, the car has what I call lifter sound during everyday usage. The mechanic said this is normal and would not damage the engine. He said the noise is most likely because it is a different head than what came off the car.
The lifter noise is annoying sometimes, but not my main problem.
Now when I am stopped at stop signs the car shakes considerably. This only occurs while the car is still in Drive with the foot on the brake. I can put the car into neutral and the massive vibration goes down considerably. If I put the car back into Drive, the vibration is the same as in neutral. No where near as much as when I first stop with it in Drive.
The car does not shake while I am driving, only when stopped. Also, it seems like when I turn the AC on it gets worse but only when I first stop with the vehicle in Drive.
I have created 3 different videos that have the sound it is making. These were all taken at different times.
I am hoping someone can give me an idea on how to fix this.

Thanks for the responses. The torque strut were actually replaced since they were broken (for the 2nd time). They said that they were aligned properly.
The noise is now noticeable when the car is at idle not in gear but not as pronounced as it is when in drive and on the brake.
YouTube videos were fixed and now public.
