Try run the vehicle without Drive belt. Sometimes it could be an accessory pulley being out of balance.
Or maybe a bad Harmonic Balancer itself, which I've seen a few times. Pry on the Harmonic Balancer, see if the Rubber parts are worn out and falling apart.

I put in a new rack switch as well, didn't solve my prob with low idle but it does pick up rpm when I move it right to left at a stop to make the low idle shake go away

Hey guys, I'm new to this fourm and glad to be a new member. I have recently just noticed that my 2nd gen. neon has just started to have this low rpm idle issue. it did not occur before. however, I notice that it happens when my car is at normal operating temp; then out of no where the car drops to about 500 rpm's. I thought it was an IAC, but, I tested it and it checks to be ok. although, while I was digging around by my TB I found that I had oil in my intake manifold. could this cause bad combustion and cause the rpm drop?
