Default turns over doesn't start.

'03 Neon SXT. Replaced engine about 3 months ago. Last 2 weeks it was having a rough time starting. Finally one morning wouldn't start at all. Will turn over though, replaced plugs and wires, jump started it and it started right up. Took it to my mechanic just to double check. Stayed 2 days and it started up every time. Got it home, the next morning same problem. Towed to garage, he played with the plugs on the computer and it started right up. Ran great for 2 days and again this morning wouldn't start, not even with a jump. I played with the cables on the computer and still had no luck. It's getting fuel. Both my mechanic and I are stumped, anyone have any ideas?

Short in the wiring harness perhaps.

The person who did the engine swap has said it may be the fuel pump not having the correct pressure. Not sure, I'm pretty convinced it has something to do with wiring our the computer. *really hoping it's not the computer*

How's the battery's wiring? As in battery to starter specifically. I had a bad cable that caused me to have a similar issue, wouldn't start even with jump.

I checked those, all good. We did try to override the battery and hooked the jumper cables directly to the battery cables and still got nothing. I'm rarely stumped when it comes to my car but this time it's got me. :-(

Got a phonecall this morning. The crank and cam sensors were junk. All that trouble because of a couple little sensors. I miss the old days of no computers and sensors.
