Idle issues after TB cleaning
I have a 2005 SXT and I recently cleaned out my TB and Seafoamed it. I seafoamed it a few days prior, and the issue wasn't present then.
When going down the road, in between shifts (mtx) it will rev down like it normally does, but stops at ~1500 RPM. Also when I start it in the morning, it revs to ~1200 instead of the stock ~700. When I was cleaning the TB I made the stupid mistake of spraying a little bit of TB cleaner into the IAC. All vacuum lines are hooked up correctly as far as I know. What is the vacuum line that goes from below the IAC to around the firewall?
Should I spring for a new IAC? what else could be causing this?

The wife pulled up one day and her Neon was idling fast as hell. I discovered that when I had taken the throttle body off a few days earlier to clean it I forgot to tighten the clamp on the duct from the intake. The duct was slipping off and sucking air. Seems like it would set a code if the IAC was bad. The vacuum line on the throttle body goes to the charcoal canister I believe.
Did you happen to see that sticker on the TB that says not to clean it? Supposedly, there's a coating on there that a cleaner will remove. No idea what it is exactly or what it does, but it's there (according to the people who made it, anyways).
No. I didn't. I've never heard of it. The only coating on there was the carbon deposits lol. I also forgot to mention that once the car slows to <5MPH it returns to normal idle speed, making me think it's the IAC.
Could be the IAC.. if what Darthroush is saying is true, sometimes companies will put a nonstick coating on the blade of the throttle body to prevent it from sticking inside of the throttle bore. I wasn't sure if Neons had this coating or not.
Most, if not all, aftermarket TBs are bigger than factory and that can take you into a whole 'nother world of potential problems, though non-NGC Neons seem to do better with them.
