Well, if you are good at computer, maybe you should consider that field too. I know a few of ppl who just read a book, practice on other own computers, and went straight for certifications instead of a degree, and it works out OK.
Webpage Design, Mobile Application, etc... all these Software Engineering type of work is pretty hot right now, and you can go straight for the certifications, and it MIGHT get you jobs easier than a degree would.
There are some Dealerships which would take ppl with no formal training in as a Lube tech, and they will pay for online course as ur initial start up. And if they like your workmanship, they will send you to further training. But without formal schooling as a background, you have to work extra hard in order to catch up.
