Illinois, but yeah they rust up pretty good. It's hard to get at them with some penetrating oil but it definitely would have helped me.

I didn't have a lot of mechanical experience but even if I tried it now I would probably break a couple... They are in such a position that they just collect roadgrime and rust up pretty bad.
