My 2000 Neon died a couple of days ago. It will not start. Almost half a tank of gas. Cranks fine. Battery is good. I've ohmed out the fuses in the engine compartment and interior panel and swapped the relays around, no help. I've checked the fuel pump; I can hear it pressurize and I verified pressure...44 psi at the rail. The car will start using starting fluid so the spark side of the equation seems to be in order. I tried to listen for the fuel injectors but cannot hear them (may be due to being drowned out by attempted starting). Any suggestions are appreciated.
I have not checked codes yet. I will get a reader today and check them. Are there key-on key-off codes with a Neon or is a reader the only way to retrieve them?
