ac install
i bought a 2005 neon st with no air conditioning
i would like to find out if any of the older models would use the same pumps and compressors so i could just go to a you pull it yard and install it myself since there are no parts available to the public it would seem.
has anyone else tryed this i know an after market system would be about 1500 and i am just looking for an alternative i do see all the bolt holes are already in the block how hard could it be to install

RE: ac install
my advice is to just go to a junkyard like you said and pull one from a neon thats 2000 & up..make sure the j-yard you go to has a garentee/ warrenty..get the ac make sure you get both ac lines too..there should be a High and a Low. After you install it and you've made sure it works get it recharged at any lube shop..it's cost about 100$ or so. reason for getting it recharged is so it works like its brand new..everyones ac is recommended to be recharged every 2 years.
Hope I Helped..
