Default Spoiler

I would like to put a neon spoiler on my neon that did not come stock with one. And I am just wondering what hardware I need to get? Also I don't know if it would be possible, but if possible could someone put up some sort of a stencil as to where I should drill the holes?

Well, I believe your best bet would to get a trunk that matches your color and has a spoiler already on it. Any trunk from any 2nd gen neon will fit.

If you open the trunk and look at the bottom side, you should see two holes in the framework on each side where the nuts would be on the spoiler studs. If you drill your holes directly in the center of those holes you should be good. The spoiler is secured with four 10mm nuts. I do agree with fhadso. It would be easier if you can find a trunk lid to match your car. When I'm lucky enough to find a spoiler at the junkyard I get them for $25, but have to spend another $30 for paint to match the car.

I put a spoiler on my thunderbird and i measured the spoiler on the back and put dots with a sharpie of where the bolt studs were on the decklid. I then drilled out the holes and it lined up great just take your time measuring it up because once you drill once thats it.
