I'm thinking of replacing my clutch in February while I have the money. I've heard that a clutch from a non-turbo PT Cruiser is a great upgrade from our stock clutch.

Has anyone tried this? I'm looking for a clutch that will last, but at the same time I'm looking for a tighter clutch. I don't plan on turbo-ing my car anytime soon, so I don't need anything rated for 200+HP.

I'm looking at the dimensions of them both, and the only difference is that the inside diameter of the PT clutch is 8.937, while the Neon clutch is 9 (I'm assuming mm).

 

So will it be able to fit over the Neon input shaft?

 

I assume so, people have done it before. Just didn't know if anyone here has done the swap.
