my dodge gives me a DTC of po456 small leak in the evap system
. so when i push real hard and tighten my gas cap the code goes away. so do u think i need a new gas cap o ring or a hole new cap let me know thanx,tschay

 

A new cap is like $5. Just replace it. The gasket is probably worn out by the sound of it.

 

My daughters Durango had that problem, it was fixed with a new cap. My Dakota however, had a leak in the filler tube. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to change the part out. A few screws and it unplugs like an air tool fitting. Part wasn't real expensive either.
