Default P0441

Daughter brought home her 2003 SXT for the weekend. It shows code P0441. Also, she said the oil light is on and dings. I checked the oil level it is way over. She said she has added about 3 quarts over the last couple of weeks without checking the level. She said the car started running real sluggish right before she pulled in the driveway. I'm looking for some guidance on where I should start checking.

Any help provided is greatly appreciated.

The CEL is brought on by Evap issues.

The oil light is being set poff due to the car having to much oil and it foaming up, causing a drop in oil pressure.

Drain the oil asap.

Drained the oil, was way over. Ran the car around the block, whenever it goes to shift from first to second gear and second to third the car bogs down, could the code P0441 cause that?

No, but old plugs and wires could. How many miles on each? Plugs should be changed every 30K and wires every 60K, or, every other plug change.

Thanks for the input, car is due for a tune up. Plugs, wires, and air filter will all be changed shortly.
