engine mods
Ok I got mine on ebay for 89 with 10 dollars additional for shipping. It is a fidanza adjustable cam gear. If you are looking to buy one I actually have an extra one. The company sent me two by mistake. It is brand new in the box. I will sell you mine for 75. I actually live in orlando so it would be pretty easy to get it to you. Let me know if you are interested. As far as ecu reprograming I got mine reprogrammed with jetchips for 220 from morepowerracing.com
ECU 101:
The ONLY thing you can do with your ECU is to send it out and have it re-flashed. You're basiaclly remapping your fuel curve and shifting where your power is on the RPM range. "Chipping" adds no power(unless you've got a REALLY poorly tuned ECU from the factory) just moves where it goes. And with the second gen neons... there is no piggy back system since the ECU has no way to support it. And removing the factory chips and installing a new one yourself is engine homocide unless you're an electrical engineer... DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS YOURSELF! I've seen way too many people **** up thier cars by trying to do the chip swap themselves. If you're going to do anything to your with your ECU, send it out. gains in track times can be made at the ECU on a stock motor... the ECU's are of course, tuned for econmy. Good luck with the mods!
