Default cold air intake

I installed a cold air intake on my 2004 sxt neon. Now when i start the car it revs up to 3,000 rpm. Anyone know what the problem might be?

you have a vaccum leak prolly the lil hose right under the IAC valve. OR theres one on top of the throttle body right above the IAC ( more twords the radiator ). Or you valve cover/pvc hoses....maybe everything isnt buttond up enough..

speaking of top of the throttle body mine has a vac plug cap on it with a zip tie, when I pulled that motor from a junker I've never took the time to research where/what it should be plugged into
