Hi all, I have a 2001 RT, and a couple of questins . 1) Is it common for the Fan's on Neons (under the hood) to come on regularly. It seems to come on when I am either sitting in traffic, or reversing the car into the garage. It seems to take ages to go off. the temp is always normal
2) when reversing slowly, and I bring the clutch up or down, there is a kind of thud noise - Is this normal?

Yeah the fan will come on whenever the temp reaches a certain point. I don't know what temp that is, but it will go on for a bit and then shut off. As for the noise...I think mine makes a similar noise. I'll have to listen next time I drive it. However its been doing it since I bought it new so as far as I'm concerned its supposed to be like that.
