What is the visible differance between the single and dual cam neon motors? I was talking to someone on the street who said they had a dohc motor but it looked just like my single cam neon. any differance between the two (other than the performance).
You mean that the second gen. cars dont have dohc? I always thought some of them had that. I lost a race with another second gen neon when I first go my car(mine is an 03 with 75k, his was an 05 with less than 10k). I was sure he had a dohc motor cause his was an SXT. Is this wrong?

the SRT4 has a DOHC 2.4.. also SXTs didnt even come with the Magnum motor, which came in the R/T and ACR models, so basically i think the guy just didnt know what egine he has.
My 01 Magnum is a SOHC. Maybe he used to own a Honda. They seem to have a problem identifying SOHC and DOHC motors too.... (D16Y8 SOHC, B18B-DOHC, etc..)
no i dont normally have a problem telling the difference between the 2. i was just asking in the off chance that there really wasn't a physical way to tell them apart.
My 02 se has a 2.0 16 valve and yoursaying thats a single cam. It might be a single cam. I'm new to the whole dodge thing. VW list 8 valve motors has single cam and 16 valve as dual.
